You’re in, welcome!

Hey! 👋For your first tutorial, I’ll show you how to easily reach the top of the iPhone screen with one hand, even if you have smaller hands.

😖 The issue

iPhone screen sizes continue to grow in size. As a result, it can be difficult to use it one-handed and reach the menus and tap targets towards the top of the display. The smallest of the modern iPhones have a 6.1-inch display. The iPhone Plus and Max sizes have 6.7-inch displays.Woof. 😲While most of us have gotten comfortable playing finger gymnastics and holding the iPhone just so, sometimes we end up dropping it too.Guilty. ✋Thankfully, Apple has a feature called Reachability. This slides down the content on the display to the lower half so it’s within reach of your thumb.

👇 Give it a try

Open the Settings app and scroll down to the Accessibility category.Select the Touch subcategory and then toggle ON the option for Reachability. To put it into action on an iPhone with Face ID, swipe down on the bottom edge of the screen. If using an iPhone with Touch ID and Home button, lightly double-tap the Home button — don’t fully press it though. You’ll see everything on the display slide down so you can reach it easier.Sweet! 🤘To get back to full screen mode, tap the upper half of the display. Here's a quick video (0:08) showing it in action.

✨ One more thing

Before I learned how to use this feature on purpose, I would stumble across it accidentally. I'd wonder how I broke my iPhone. 😆Maybe you’ve had the same experience. This is a nice, little feature. It can have a big impact on the comfort of using the iPhone one-handed.Share this tutorial with someone who has a larger-sized iPhone or has small hands.Until next time, see ya! 👋
